RT2 gathers the many kinds of knowledge that coastal communities rely on—from planning documents and hazard reports to personal stories, local observations, and cultural connections to the waterfront.
By combining social science research with community-generated insights, RT2 creates an accessible "knowledge hub" that helps people find the information they need to plan for coastal change. The team also studies how people understand risk, value their waterfronts, and experience climate impacts, ensuring that resilience decisions reflect the full lived reality of each community.
